Class Compliant Firmware Comes to BEACN Mic!
and other fun topics like “what the heck does class compliant mean?”
Many users have come to us asking for a way to make BEACN Mic more “portable” and to connect natively to more devices.
BEACN Mic has always required custom audio drivers in order to communicate with your computer, which meant it couldn’t work directly with things like game consoles, phones (if they can power it!), tablets and any other device that can support a “typical” USB audio device.
With version 1.2.62 we’ve updated BEACN Mic to allow switching to “Compliancy Mode” from BEACN App. This swaps the mic into a compliant state that works in far more places.
In fact, if you just want a great sounding mic without all the bells and whistles that the app offers, you could just run BEACN Mic as your recording input and BEACN Headphones as your speaker output and never think about it again!
If you already have BEACN App installed, you can find the new control in the Mic settings, just tick the box and let the mic reboot.
